Living with an attitude of gratitude and generosity is of vital importance to Life in the City. Being grateful for each moment we have, no matter what we are experiencing, is key to living the abundant life. We believe in living generously out of that abundance, refusing to be captivated by a scarcity mindset.

 

AT LIFE IN THE CITY, OUR GOAL IS TO GIVE 10% OF OUR INCOME TO HELP OTHERS IN OUR COMMUNITY AND AROUND THE GLOBE.

 

Meadowbrook Apartments

Meadowbrook Apartments is a government housing project located one mile from the Life in the City campus. We host a monthly Creative Arts Camp for children in the community recreation center at Meadowbrook to make the camp accessible to the kids who life in the apartments. During this camp, children experience the love of God through our many volunteer leaders as they learn and grow in their creative expression of music, dance, drama, and fine arts. We provide a free lunch and are establishing relationships that continue each Sunday as we bring a number of the children to worship with us.


True Vineyard Ministries

Life in the City is a host and missional partner to True Vineyard Ministries envisions African communities freed from poverty and pursues it by empowering them to live out their full potential. Life In The City hosts a marketplace to sell their goods seasonally and takes a summer mission trip with the organization to Rwanda.


Soco Ministries

Life In The City, in partnership with Christ Lutheran Church and The Church on Congress Avenue, provides to-go lunches twice a week to those in our community who need this resource.

South austin assistance ministry

South Austin Assistance Ministry is a community coalition of several churches in South Austin seeking to better serve people in need of basic food, clothing, housing, and utility assistance. Life In The City provides financial support to this co-op.


FreeStore Austin

The FreeStore is an outreach of the United Methodist Church that connects people who need and people who need to give through weekly opportunities to shop for free clothing and small household items.
